January February 2012 Newsletter

Welcome back our Angels and a big welcome also to our new enrolments for 2012. We have changed our name to reflect the professionalism of 2012 changes to EYLF curriculum and the new standards of NQF(National Quality Framework). Preparation for these changes and inclusions have involved a lot of reading, policy reviews, evening meetings, in service training.

Skye and Wendy return from holiday 30th Jan and are are off to Batemans Bay undergoing more NQF training on 31st Jan. Every member of our team is researching, studying, undergoing courses and deserve to be recognized as professionals in the field of educating and caring for young children, hence our revised name.

Our programme is including a special focus on FIT and READY. We are fortunate to have Skye who has been undergoing Certificate III and IV Fitness with the Institute of Personal Training, and we have an innovative daily fitness program that we will call MOVE TIME!

This will be included into our daily routine strongly focusing on movement, language and cognitive development. As an Early Childhood teacher, I believe in fun learning in play but welcome the Governments shift to allow intentional teaching, as well as following children’s strengths and interests. EDUCATION and CARE!
